will there be any history between ja2 and ja3, What was awesome in ja2 is that you felt things happened between ja1 and ja2, here I have the bad feeling that all the ja2 made it just like if the game is happening few monthes after Arulco and it's ja2 in another set up. 

I wish some mercs died, others aged, new arrived (or old ones relatives?), maybe even some mercs from ja1 that disapeared came back, etc. This kind of background creates a strong feeling of realism. Igor isn't a cherry anymore and replaces Ivan while maybe Ivan is still there but hes very old and almost useless except his high experience ETC ETC. 

That would actually be ja3 and not ja2 v1.9 like we had tons of them that disapointed.

Don't get me wrong I will still be very excited to use my old fav mercs from ja2 but that's not ja3.

Most probably this was decided a long time ago, at the beginning of the project. The idea of making the game live a little bit is good and most probably they took it into consideration, as it was already the case between JA1 and JA2.

It seems JA3 takes place in early 2000, which means a dozen years after JA2, so mercs should be older but not that old.

I don't remember where, but the developers have said JA3 takes place almost immediately after JA2. JA2 takes place in 1999, the year it released, and JA3 takes place in 2001.

Ok, I see, not much fun about building an A.I.M background then and having a real evolution of mercenaries like we had between ja1 and ja2... too bad

i want this to be "a-team" season 2. Yes I want this to be arulco in another region and I hope that ja3 comes even close to how bright and colorful arulco was.

You want what has been done in all the ja2 clones failures, I want ja3. This doesn't necessarily mean the game is going to be bad champ, it's just a bad sign. I loved merc from ja1 that didn't made it to ja2, but ja2 was deep enough with tons of interaction to make me love other mercs. I just wish the development of the game and the dialogues behind it were at that level. If I am just going to hear the same Buzz complaining about Lynx all over again it kinda sucks... While having a Buzz that turned fully insane or even murdered Lynx would be super fun. Having Maddog that became a famous merc or even Hamous as an elite merc would be super fun. Having a Shadow cult because of all his fans would make me smile. All I am saying is that it's a missed opportunity and a bad sign about having a real ja3 and not just a ja2 clone game. I just hope if they are just cloning it, it's going to be copied good with the possibility to lay explosive traps all around and great secondary quests etc.

The most recent JA game I played was Back In Action (it was flawed, but still enjoyable thanks to an excellent overhaul mod). I will try to pick mercs that were not included in that game as my main focus, at least for my first team. 🙂
