  1. You're probably right GODSPEED, I thought EA was a good idea, but too many chefs spoil the broth, let them make a good game, but I wouldn't mind a demo before release.

Just hope they listen to us, that's all and don't make something completely un Jagged Alliance.

    1) Yes... that over-the-shoulder camera view when you want to take the shot... and having to select the body part. 🤢 🤮
I'm guessing this is a U.I. element they decided either because a) for consoles, b) to copy new xcom, c) never played JA2 and noticed how easy it is to mouse over any enemy (and the part you want to hit) and just right click to aim more.

Be good if its optional, you can zoom in over the shoulder for the shot or leave it like classic JA2 view.

  3. Yeah I'm sure some modder(if there are mod tools) will put the old music back in, I only say this because I love the old JA2 music, it added so much to the vibe of the game.

But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they create a good music soundtrack for the game.

Thanks @Wigen! Great news! I don't have any social media stuff so I had hopes someone could reach out to some official channel. Thanks again for you Twitter-sleuthing!

That's a good thing in these times, keeps your mind clear of all the crap out there. I stopped using FB, twitter.. I still look at censor tube though, probably too much.

In my opinion Devs will not contribute to the forum, perhaps only to provide information about some updates or progress with the game.

I think they reading mostly everything for sure and maybe gathering the best ideas and solutions.

It's their money, their licence, their game and they will create their own vision of this game. Every previous version: Back in Action, JA Online, Flashback and Rage ended the same way. No matter what and where we said or wrote, each of these games were made by Devs vision.

The question is: It will be different this time? I do not think so.

I remember what was happening on the forums when Ja Back in Action and JA Online were building. If Devs were not contributing on the forum at that time and wasting time to ansering mostly on every question and topic, then we would have many more additional features in these games.

If they are fans of Jagged Alliance like we are, then they should already know what makes a good Jagged Alliance game. But it helps if they read our posts they might see something they forgot about, or could use in the game.

I missed above all four things.

    - Many more attachments for every gun, especially silencers for assault
rifles and sniper rifles. These max four attachment in original versions
was very frustrating, that we could not add more.

    - Upgradeable base like in JA Online.

    - Vehicles with inventory, where we could put additional stuff.

    - And of course chance to hit.

A base of operations could be good, but you would only want your current Mercs there, maybe when wounded seriously you could fly them back to base?, until they are healed. When your Mercs die you can choose to bury them out in the field and it leaves a cross where they've fallen.

Also the base is used for gathering items, ammo, weapons talking to and interacting with Mercs and other characters in the game.

They weren't scammers, they simply did not know how to manage the money properly and it burnt out too quickly and were left to rush the game out the door.

They did have communication between some of the JA2 modders, but at some point they probably realized they didn't have the technical know-how to apply some of the features that we're important, and they had their own ideas of how to do things, even if the community hated it.

They wanted to try, but they should have worked their way up to more complexity in their games before attempting a JA revival.

It was the biggest failure in the JA attempts.

I did complete the game, it was hard! No, not the game, but to firce myself through it; ot's the most painful game experience I've ever had. I felt I was playing the most simplistic mobile game on my pc.

I should have just printed out a Jagged Alliance 2 poster and stuck it on my monitor instead.

...that, or find Babes and Bullets centerfold of Fox...

Yeah poor Thomas Lund, seemed like a good guy and the Full Control development team.. they just bit more off then they could chew.

I backed it foolishly (more then I should have) thinking they would make something great. 🙂

  8. Is it Possible that Haemimont Games could get some of the Old sir-tech team to advise them on the development of JA3?

Who better to help with JA3 than the creators of the franchise.
