No further updates are coming for the game. This is what you're stuck with now. I'm sorry that you feel it's inadequate, but I assure you, we spent a significant amount of development time, trying to make a usable controller interface. This is the best we could do.

It was announced on the last twitch stream, that development of JA3 has concluded. There won't be any more updates other than a hotfix. On the bright side, that means mods won't break anymore, so it's now safe to begin work on the JA2 remake mod 😉

Consoles have a more complicated update process, so any hotfixes will have to wait until the next major patch.

The pre-order version you played was of patch 1.1.2. Bobby Ray's requires patch 1.3.0. This was released several hours after the game became playable on consoles. So you might have missed it. The condition is to liberate Ernie village and wait 24h in-game.

The game was created in a Windows environment. As such, we cannot guarantee the availability modding tools under the various linux distros or provide support for missing dependencies.
