  1. No way man, Elliot dead once in JA2 and also once again in JA RAGE, so to kill him twice was annoying enough.
  2. @anon474The Predator crew was surely legendary, especially the native guy would suit to Jagged Alliance perfectly. @LunokhodMost definitely the sheriff style suited him much better then the original 1.
  3. I highly recommend to watch this Jagged Alliance like movie, it takes place in Iraq around mid 2000s. The devilish US troops making chaos all around under the command of Sam William Marshall (Billy Zane, many will know him from Titanic), William Marshall also has his own mercs who are protecting him. Then the Turkish agents (merc like) entering in there after the US troops raid a Turkish military outpost. The actors are also acting pretty well. The Ecuadorian merc with the mohawk is 1 of my favourites, his so psychopathic just like Fidel, perhaps even more. Hope you enjoy it, Happy Easter btw... You can watch the movie on YouTube for free, its on original language but you can select english subtitles.
  4. Like to throw in here some suitable characters that may could inspired by later on in character creations. Roberto "Poison" Ramos Was really 1 of my favourite characters in Narcos (series), a Colombian professional sicario, 1 of Pablo`s elites. Very brutal and ruthless who also had some dark humour though. Also works pretty similar just like a merc, who was also very loyal to his employer. A Poison like character would suit to Jagged Alliance %110. Here some more additional info about him ; https://narcos.fandom.com/wiki/Roberto_Ramos#:~:text=Poison was a blood thirsty, during his early smuggling days. There is also a turn based game called Narcos : Rise of the Cartels, where he is in. The Spanish command voices itself getting me so excited, so to have few South American mercs, with heavy spanish accent, who also throws in some Spanish words now and then would be a huge booster to the Latino gaming community overall for sure. Jagged Alliance without South American mercs its like a nice soup without salt in it imo. Memati BaลŸ A very loyal mafia right hand, simply a epic character, back in Turkiye he is a legend. A similar Turkish character like this would bring more Turkish audience, where are lots of gamers. Read here his incredible story : https://valley-of-the-wolves.fandom.com/tr/wiki/Memati_BaลŸ
  5. Not $hit but facts i were talking about, could be true, could be not, i dont even know where you are from but i can imagine. Well dont be that pretty sure i would say but everyone has their own opinion so there is no sense continuing this convo. Your terribly mistaken, am also not a hater and also not mad or so, just want to cut it short and thats it. Long live Jagged Alliance !!!
  6. As its 1 of our main topics, what kind of mercs we would like to see in the upcoming DLC`s for JA3 or further sequels ? Most of us can be complaining here from what we have seen so far of the JA3 characters as they are too colorful & cartoony so i would like us to discuss here what kind of characters/mercs you would like to see in Jagged Alliance ? My own opinion is also that there should be more serious (realistic), battlefield ready characters with some dark humour. Most of them should have a military, paramilitary or also some criminal (who worked for cartel, guerrilla, mafia etc...) backgrounds. Of course there can be few funny & colourful characters too for a laughter but not many. Thats why the outfits should also look somehow battlefield ready (doesnt mean they all have to wear camouflaged uniforms) and not like they are going to a holiday which is already a optic minus and flavour killer for many of us. I would also like to mention, there should be more mercs of different countries, which would also very possibly boost up the total audience of Jagged Alliance. For my taste there are way too many American mercs (it could be reduced imo), we dont have even a South American merc in it (except Hector Alvarez in JA1 from Venezuela, 1 of my favourites), which is honestly very disappointing, i mean 1 of the most ruthless mercenaries & sicarios comes from our continent and we dont have even 1 in there, there should be at least 4 or 5 from different South American countries. As well we dont have African mercs, other then Blood in there, there could be at least few more, may some more European mercs from various countries that we didnt had before (France, Spain, Ukraine, Turkey etc...).
  7. Ivan & Fidel are always a most for me in my playthroughs together with Vicki, also Hector Alvarez in JA1, Miguel (in the beginning) in JA2 1.13 and also Janno "Brain" Allik in JA2 Wildfire. I will be also going very possibly with Fauda in JA3.
  8. @Hendrix So true, most of those documentaries shows the wild life somehow less harmless (they do it also for the younger audience), but in reality the wild life is extremely brutal with lots of blood and gore.
  9. Well yea the icons are surely a lil weird, its surely not huge but zoomed too close, also when you combine magnum with chunk of steel, it gets a longer barrel with a more powerful shot. BTW did anyone noticed, in JA3 the first time all of the weapons will be looking to the right direction, which will have a lil weird feeling for some players, we got use to it on left side.
  10. Without a doubt Hector Alvarez, he was my favourite merc in JA1. Am from Ecuador but it still made me very proud to see a merc from a neighbouring country, he was also the only South American merc in the game.
  11. It can be only someone who is 1 of the JA3 crew, otherwise how he would be able to play the beta game you know.
  12. I would not even waste my time replying all this nonsense comments who acts like a total stuffed shirt. ๐Ÿฅธ
  13. I can also remember at least way 15 years ago there was a fan made stuff where you could do death matches but it wasnt that smooth. If they could do such thing, i warmly welcome it, would be fun to fight each other in VS battles.
  14. Could be true but for me controller ๐ŸŽฎ over joystick ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ or mouse ๐Ÿ all day everyday. Thats a lie, every average person today has a medium to big sized smart or OLEG TV at their homes, come on its not Grand Chien where we living in. ๐Ÿ˜„ No need to buy console ? PS5 broke records and thats in Corona times, still recent time you were not able to get a PS5 console from the stores, and thats nearly after 3 years of the release date. I got it thank God right away shortly after the release date so i felt so lucky, still now i have to admit PS5 is by far the best console i ever owned. Everything works smoothly. Yes there are also few stingy people who has a laptop and doesnt want to spend for a additional console or are total PC geeks. ๐Ÿ˜
  15. See this article, PC gamers getting less and less against console gamers, that's a fact! https://metro.co.uk/2023/04/01/pc-gaming-has-never-been-worse-than-it-is-right-now-readers-feature-18539282/
  16. It sounds surely even more challenging then the standard Wildfire, so how is it possible to put together the JA2 Wildfire "from Steam" with the recent updates ? BTW yea i can see many enemies but their are in smaller groups, in the standard Wildfire from Steam, it feels like in each enemy sector are like 25 enemies, also when they attack a base, they can come 20 to 25 men.
  17. Damn which version of JA2 is this ? You can see even the night googles on the mercs portraits. Drassen has 5 sectors damn, on the OG JA2 Drassen is 3 sectors and even on Wildfire 4. Got even the FN Scar (was the best assault rifle in Jagged Alliance RAGE by far.) Wait a min ? You have even moving tanks on the map ? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  18. @SWi74You mean something like XCOM2 and War of The Chosen (which was better then the vanilla imo.) Hopefully it will be coming to PS5 as well and it should not delay too much, after several months. I will surely preorder directly 2 CDยดs (1 to play and 1 to keep brand new as a lifetime souvenir) of JA3 even its on sale for 60 Euros, i will not hesitate to spend right away 120 Euros for JA3 (PS5). @anon474 To say PC gamers are more skilled then Console its totally nonsense. Also reality is PC gamers becoming less and console more this time around from the youth. Its simply much more comfortable & enjoyable to play with a proper controller (at most games). It would surely depend also what kind of game it is ? Some games, especially strategy are more suitable on PC (Laptop) especially if its like Jagged Alliance 2, but from what we have seen on the trailers JA3 will be modernised (the modern XCOM2 gameplay suited very well to console) so i think it will suit very well (so was JA Rage) to console gaming. The mouse could maybe more accurate but especially in turn based games you dont need any clicking speed or reflexes to avoid something by clicking lightning fast, we are not playing a QTE (quick time event). The turn limitation on some missions in XCOM2 were the most annoying for sure. Jagged Alliance its a game where you take your time, think how to attack or ambush etc.... 1 sector can usually take me a good hour or sometimes 2 (especially in JA2 Wildfire, on expert where are plenty enemies).
  19. @SWi74Wow sees like you played almost all already on console, i also played XCOM Enemy Within or was it Enemy Unknown ? The first XCOM that brough popularity that came 10 years ago on PS3. It was a ok game, XCOM2 (good game but nothing wow) on PS4 were surely more improved with smoother mechanics. I was asking a friend sometime ago if he knows any other game on PlayStation similar to Jagged Alliance Rage & XCOM2 ? He suggested me Desperados 3, i watched some trailers and all but since its just real time i didnt even touched the game and the other game he suggested was Mutant Year Zero, which i also checked out but didnt liked since its even more cartoony then XCOM2.
  20. Its a must to come for consoles, myself am not really a PC player (left it long time ago to play regularly on PC, back in early 2000s, recently played JA1 on PC though). JA will also grow its audience further with releasing it for consoles. Jagged Alliance Rage & XCOM2 gameplay suited well to console gaming so am assuming JA3 will suit perfectly too,
  21. Well thats your opinion which is ok but its just too pessimistic imo. Nothing wrong to make it a bit similar like XCOM2 (the best turn based games of the last decade), we need some modern graphics for sure and the gameplay on XCOM2 wasnt bad either, was very suitable to console gaming. The thing i didnt liked in XCOM2 was the cartoony aliens and the maps were too small overall but it was still a fun game. So its ok with me if JA3 gets some similarities to XCOM2.
  22. @anon474Not last but least the sadistic elite black mercs..... Back in Jagged Alliance Rage, it was 1 of the favourite sectors to fight the Black Merc Base.
  23. Oh yes almost forgot lol its been almost 2 years, yes in the very first trailer they looking much better like realistic rebels. They must look exactly like this also in the game.
