  1. Pretty straightfoward, among the four new recruitable Mercs from A.I.M. (Kalyna, Livewire, Omryn and Fauda), which one do you like best?
  2. I understand where you are coming from @Claypl but honestly, if you want to have access to weapon mods, its definetly best to have an actual mechanic to do them. One thing you could do however is recruit Livewire only for a few day to mod your weapons. Wolf should be okay for most of the early lockpicking though. Another option would be to make your I.M.P. a mechanic.
  3. I'd be down for mini-expansion DLCs which would offer a few more sectors to explore, new mercs to hire and maybe new weapons to find in the world? But I think it would be more realist to expect Merc Pack DLCs which would offer a couple of new (and of former) mercs to hire from A.I.M. (maybe 4 mercs by Pack, one from every tier). The one option I'd be less pleased about would be cheap Merc DLCs which would only add 1 merc at a time in the game, it could be viable but it wouldn't be as good a motivation to start new games regularly which is what I'm looking foward with this game.
  4. So, after finishing my second playthrough of JA3, I can confirm knowledge is really quite a powerful asset in this game and while it might seem like a pretty obvious face about most video games, its one of this case where I enjoyed my second time around a lot more than my first one. I really am alway learning new stuff about the game and I love it. As for knowledge, I'm not just talking about gameplay mechanics but also about the whole game structure, knowing what happen when and what follow certain events is really a game changer as how you plan and prepare. So, to any people who might have trouble with the game, my best recommendation is to stick with it and try new things, you might just find something that work out for you or realize something you thought was optimal wasn't really.
  5. Well, she does reference 'Shaitan' a lot in most of her dialogue, so her line wouldn't quite work with characters from any nationality.
  6. Pretty sure its not just most likely, JA3 budget must be quite smaller when compared to a Triple-A game. Honestly, I think Jagged Alliance 3 should most likely be considered a Double-A game (slightly better quality than most Indie games but still way less ressources than a Triple-A). Which is why I agree its amazing they went the extra mile like that.
  7. Can we take a minute to appreciate the music of this game? I know its not the biggest of factor in a tactical game like this but for me, I've been very impressed with the quality of the music and songs used in JA3. From the fighting theme that alway get me pumped to the beautiful songs that play whenever you solve problems in certain area or towns, everything just feel top-notch.
  8. Also doesn't work in certain key story mission. My trick at this point is to save before going into those fights and fiddle with the timing in which I send my squads into the sector in question. Anyway, congrats @Dirk_BVB09 on finishing the game, very happy to hear you enjoyed the game, I certainly share your enjoyment. Actually, the limit is 15 recruitable mercs from A.I.M., you can also recruit certain NPCs in Grand Chien + the I.M.P. character, so the actual number of characters you can have is above 16 in reality. Don't exactly understand why they put this limit, I mean, in term of balancing, you already crazy strong with over 12 mercs in your team. Maybe its more a stability issue? The game seem to have trouble for me sometime when there is too many characters on screen.
  9. Not a lot from what I've seen sadly, but some of her comments in convo with NPCs are pretty good imho.
  10. Its very much a trade-off, you accept to have a merc who will never improve and in exchange, the rest of the mercs in your team get 10% more experiences. I'd say, its worth it when you got around 9 to 10 mercs in your team and even then, you should limit yourself to have only one merc with the Trait on your team. Nothing force you to get a merc with the trait if you really don't like it though. There's plenty of alternatives for what Lens, Fauda and Gus offer.
  11. Okay, so I can't compare her to Gus or Lens since I haven't recruited either of them yet but since I recently got her on my second playthrough, I thought I could share my thought on her. Personally, I think she is an okay merc but she is clearly designed to be played in a specific way. What make her unique: Her Heavy Duty talent make her keep her free move despite being equiped with heavy armours and cumbersome weapons, that combined with her Fast Runner perk mean she's propably the closest a merc can get to a mobile tank. What she's good at: As she have the Heavy Weapon trait, she can use those effectively. She is also an excellent shock trooper when using a shotgun thank to her good free move and her Breach and Clear perk. What she can do but isn't her speciality: Ironically, despite being listed as an explosive expert, Fauda isn't all that great at explosive, she can still use the less complicated one like Grenades effectively though, especially when taking advantage of her Breach and Clear perk. She also has very decent Leadership so she will be a good help with training Militia but this should never be your main reason for picking her as Lens is obviously better than her on this point. What she can't do effectively: Because of her decent but not great Marksmanship and of her low Dexterity, Fauda will never be a great sharpshooter. I also suspect she wouldn't be the most effective user for Assault Rifles. What could have made her even better: Two perks which would have really helped Fauda stand out even more as a shock trooper would have been Vanguard and Shock Assault. Having slightly better Health and Agility stats would also help in that regard. Important point: Despite not having the trait Psycho, it is required to have her kill ennemy to be happy. Otherwise, she will ask for more money to stay at your service. So in a nutshell, Fauda is pretty good at close range, at dealing damage to groups of ennemy and with heavy weapons, all that while staying very mobile. She certainly has a fun playstyle but if you're looking for a explosive specialist, a leader or a sharpshooter, they are better option than her at a lower price.
