How does the game play out if you rescue the Prez before triggering the big mid game event?

I’ve got Corazon waiting to ‘tell me something’.

On my first play through I went to ‘see her’, triggered that event and then finished the game by rescuing the President.

On this, my second play through, I haven’t gone to see her yet and am thinking of rescuing the President first.

What happens then?

I rescued the president first.

That was funny and also yet dissapointing.
He simply walked away, like some kind of jesus or ghandi, in his presidental dress, alone, by his one, through the wilderness and through enemy sectors, without any sorrow getting kidnapped again. I actually excepted something like the skyraider or kulba escort-mission, but no-no, not in 2023.

Then i had to kill the colonel and then corazon.

For me this didn't work. I was well over one year into the game, and when for the first time i got close to the eagles nest the event triggered superfast and was finished before i could actually get there.

Same feelings. Disliked the President even. While he did not like that I recruited Major Spike. The Colonel I killed before with a simple noiseless shoot by Shadow in that fortress, very unspectacular. Now I will blow up the Jail, then take that island back and kill this evil woman. I am far away from having solved all quests. I even left von Essen his mine and have not found single farm treasure yet.

 

Well I am omw to Baldurs Gate 3 now anyway. Funny thing is that Baldurs Gate 2 came out  23 years ago almost like Jagged Alliance did. Baldur is the only fantasy game I ever did. It goes very very deep and you can play it for the rest of your life. I never finished Baldurs Gate 2 even ha, ha. Best is it has no online-force. So if the internet goes down and the world is falling to pieces you can still play it as long as you have electricity.

Over one year into the game? It is out just for few weeks now ?! Explain.

Mate, he meant ingame time.. you know ... one year since you (A.I.M )was hired to rescue the president..
