Probably the game should forcefully switch player to that page. I captured first mine and then realized I could have one more soldier in my squad and it would be completely free. Restarting campaign now ๐Ÿ˜ž

Well, it's $7k, but you only pay the one time. So not completely free, but definitely a good deal.

There is no logic to that unless all those enemies expended their entire inventory of ammo. I read elsewhere on Steam that enemies seem to have infinite ammo and then as soon as they die, magically have nothing remaining.

The logic is, the game is intentionally designed to limit ammo drops. It's perfectly logical, it's just not realistic, because it's not trying to be.ย

It works the exact same way in JA1 and JA2.ย

  3. GGI have a high-end PC and I'm getting a weird issue where after playing the game for a while something will glitch and all the sudden the frame rate tanks from like 60 to 80 down to 15. Can't quite figure out what's causing it. Turning down reflections and anti-aliasing doesn't seem to help. Once it's glitched I can only fix it by restarting the game.ย

Anyway it works great till that happens, lol ๐Ÿ˜†

You'd expect the shared inventory to be the most simple and seamless thing.. simplicity at its core!

Huhhhh.. JA2's inventory system is way simpler to use.

    Hey there,ย

There is a sector inventory. It's a lil confusing though. You have to go to satellite view first, then click the sector, click the "items" filter, and there should be an option to see the inventory there, or just press I. Then you get a sector inventory screen that works like JA2 did. I've also tested it and found that it works for scooping up items that you haven't put into the sector inventory yourself but are just sitting in their original location in the sector.

  5. @DougS2Kย Classic skill choice combo ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Health: 75

    Agility: 85

    Dexterity: 75

    Strength: 70

    Wisdom: 85

    Marksmanship: 80

    Leadership: 80

Mechanical / Explosives / Medical: Zero

    Trait: Negotiator

    Skills: Night Ops and Teaching

Early game leadership mercs are pretty scarce, plus it's an RPG, so that's what I'm going with. She's the best sniper on the team so far, too.

  6. Real life is messy, uncertain, complex, and you never know if the decisions you make are the best ones.ย

This game series has always simulated this uncertainty. Lack of CtH is only one small, minor component of that.ย

There is NEVER one correct "right" way to play any given situation in the game. And if you lose, you will NEVER know with certainty exactly what it is you did wrong. You will get better though, over time. This will be the case with or without one variable being shown.

    Just like real life. ๐Ÿ˜˜

You're not going to like this game. I mean, you said you would play the game if it was just differently colored silent blocks instead of fully voiced mercs. That's fine, but this game is not going to appeal to you, in that case. Leading a team of believable people is critical to enjoying the experience of *this* game, because it is a messy simulation of that experience. Unlike, for example, XCOM. If you need to learn the "one correct" way to play a given scenario, you're not going to like this game.

That is ok. There are different games for different people. Some of us like games with uncertainty, messiness, etc that attempt to simulate a real life experience. Some people do not. That is ok.

Just don't shit all over what others have played and enjoyed. Go play games you like!

  7. @GODSPEEDย this guy ^ has been hounding the steam forums for weeks about lack of CTH but refuses to play JA2 because graphics.

Safe to say he does not understand why JA2 works just fine without it and isn't willing to find out for himself. Best to just ignore.

  8. Bought a gamestar sub just to read this ๐Ÿ™‚

    https://www.gamestar.de/artikel/jagged-alliance-3-test-steam-review,3397179.html

    Interesting tidbit from the article:

"If you still want a displayed hit probability: Haemimont has built a mod for it that you can install right after the release via the Steam Workshop."

Seems like the best way to address the haters without compromising their vision of how the game is intended to be played.

    That's already in JA2 1.13

It'sย  really fun to pick your map, pick your mercs and loadout and not really know where or what the other team is composed of. It's actually kind of nerve-racking going against another human opponent.

If you play with 1.13 + Ai.exe, it gives you a small taste of playing vs "humans"; being flanked, suppressed and then having a bunch of flares thrown your way as enemies do not expose themselves. EEESH!!! 20+ years of JA2 standard tactics can be thrown out the window and are useless.

I always ask this - as a 1.13 fan, is there a version you recommend? Or do you just go with latest?
