I will be very disappointed if microtransactions are used to personalize the mercenary.
At the same time, I am sure that will be exactly the case.

Very cool and interesting latest developer diary. I am very happy that the IMP has been officially confirmed.

I think it is a time for some leak from developers) Forum is silent and dark.
We can cover this topic in the next developer diary.

With today's latest technologies in which games are created, it is not a problem to make animated characters from static images without repeated visits to recording studios.

So its probably a "native" you encounter and you can then recruit (like Maddog in JA2)
So it's RPC.

Interview with Ian Currie in the German magazine GameStar. Unfortunately, the article is paid.
Maybe someone will be able to get full access to the interview and share some interesting snippets. It is not necessary to publish the entire article.

On the latest trailer, in addition to photos of mercenaries, you can find something else. At the very beginning of the recording behind Ian there is also a blurred screen from the main menu of the game. I noticed that options such as "Continiue", "New Game", "Load Game", "Mulitiplayer", etc. are highlighted in addition to one option, which is gray as if it was not yet active. After watching the recording in a higher quality and resolution with guys on Discord and after a short analysis we think that this is the option "Modds" or "Mod".
At the very bottom under "QUIT" there is probably an option or tool called "Mod Manager". This option managed to read to the @Kordanor.

Is Lynx be in JA3? My favorite merc)
It's still unknown. We didn't get to know the entire list of mercenaries.

They should seriously consider a overlook all of the mercs & NPC`s outfits once again and try to give them a little seriouser look, the outfits must fit in to the environment,
It seems to me that at this stage of production, any major changes in the appearance of individual characters are rather less than possible.

Wolf has a nice body armor. The color matches the gloves perfectly.

And in the upper right corner says Time, possibly Time its a nickname of a IMP but then again it seems like our merc will not have a portrait ? 🤔
Could be a new merc, where the portrait isn't ready yet, but it can also be an escort NPC or a custom mercenary. But after watching the new trailer a second time, it would be fair to say that "Time" could be nothing more than a mercenary made in I.M.P.

In the first trailer from September 2021, I saw chickens in the henhouse. 🐔🐔🐔😁

@Haemimont_Boian And tell the PR director that this is how advertising is done. Well done, keep it up and I hope it will be good! 🙂👍

At first glance, it is difficult to say what can be read with a blurry fragment of the film. Could be Raider or Reaper. I hope that with the next developer's diaries we will know more and more about the game.

After careful analysis of the new trailer featuring Ian Currie, it appears that Reaper will appear in the game.

I'm just asking out of curiosity. When is the next part of the developer's diary?

Making a Mercenary

In the Jagged Alliance 2 source code, the following skills are responsible for planting and disarming explosives: experience, intelligence, explosives, dexterity and the amount of energy, and possibly some dedicated skill.
Dexterity, shooting and the amount of energy used are responsible for the accuracy of throwing. Here dexterity had the most attention.
From Fauda's description, she's mostly a throwing explosives specialist, so taking JA 2 as an example, when it comes to throwing accuracy, 45 agility on a character like Fauda is actually a disaster.
