  1. Well the Glock17 is 8 inches/204mm long & weight is 1,37lbs/0,625kg empty. Car15 seems to resemble a M607. But longer barrel:& 30mag, what wasnt standard compatibility. However,..oiginal-length round 27,5in/70cm with collapsed stock as shown, weight roundabout 6,6lbs/3kg (empty). The SAW with (Standard)barell is about 40in/100cm, ca.15lbs/6,8kg. So we have only 23lbs/10,5kg here. Weight of a schoolkidback, in the old days (books in it, bread and stuff).. πŸ˜‰ Add bullets 4lbs/1,8kg. Add weight of Backpack, depending of model, take Alice w frame 11lbs/5kgs. So we are round about 37,5lbs/17kg. Add weapon in hand. Add clothes, helmet, maybe some kevlar, lbe eqpmt. Water, food, Beauty set? 😁 But still possible to go with that. Fighting with that? πŸ€” Hmm, better not.
  2. As long, as they have different colors, thats not a Drama. And you can invent some explanations..: Maybe it was just the car of the year. Or it was the only sold personal car in country, like the 'Trabant' once in the eastern-german Rep. 😁 Other explanation: Maybe all the possible drivers (enemy twins) are cyborg-roboters. Why the hell then, they should use different cars? πŸ˜†
  3. Have you ever been to albania in the early 2000s? Poor countries getting all the loads of good-old cars, from western-europe..😁 One day people come back, wanting to buy them (like in kuba)πŸ˜†
  4. Btw military-backrounds in JA are good example to see, why Jagged 1&2 characterbio are not so consistent and a bit more random you might guess. For example ranks.. Some ex soldiers had ranks (even when Corporal is a rather low one, specially for an Green Berett), some hadnt (non americans & also shadow).
  5. For me Shadow was always a bit like CPT Willard😁 Old Shadow hair appears at least long as new one. Also he is no active military. Besides that no real pro would go out in fields, wearing no headgear.. Funfact: Back in the 90s specops often got critized by generals being undisciplined because of their hairstyles. In bloody Afghanistan was the same with all the taliban-beards. So they gave out new policys, when generality had enough of trend.
  6. Γ„h. Well. Never played XCOM. Maybe the first one, cant remember. Never posted in steam anyway. But well, if you think so, im okay with that, whatever that is. 😁
  7. Maybe the problem with this reinvention of this game, that its idea was created almost 30 years ago. You couldnt expect, Jagged could be same or been an renewed retail-Version of 1.13. The development was created in another time, from a team on another continent. The market and the targetgroup changed. The problem of some fans, i think, are their pent up expectations. Metavira is history, arulco is over.. I wouldnt swap roles to devs. It seems some guys here and there would never been satisfied, most parts that they have seen (mentionable: not played) they only criticise. Instead of being thankful for dev diaries or Ian Curries involvment, they just behave like some trolls, they are sceptical, pessimictic and overcritical, like they were hired from deidranna. I dont get it. Nobody is forced to like or buy it. Yes, its not the old Jagged. Yes, i think there are some issues. But Hey! im glad, having survive till now, to play another Jagged-title game. There are other genres of games, where fans dont behave like children; didnt like what they get, before it even was given to them; instead looking forward an game. Someone watched Twin Peaks? Born in the 1990s. Rebirth 25 years later; same director, almost same actors; similar story; completly different adventure,..but also lot of fun to me.
  8. I actually liked flugentes mods, like the foodsystem in 1.13. But it also caused a lot of micromanagement and also logistic and logical problems. Didnt became friend of cargosystem. A flood of stuff, Like Vests pounches and so on very similar to each other, getting annoyed doing micromacromanamagment, all the time. I understand the sense and also the interest in it. And, Yes you can put it off. But i wouldnt expect that mass of work for a game, created for market, if half of people wont use that anyway. And THERE a lot of mobilegames, youre doing only such micromanagement things all the time. And in the end, you didnt make any process in game and you get nothing out of all the timeinvesting process. And you cant expect devs making a expensive game, which wont sold very good in the end.πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ For me fE, its not the sense of a game, to administer tons of materials and imo that would be an army logistic simulator, instead of an battle rpg.😁
  9. Imo strenght definitely a misunderstood characteristic. You can lift 220 pnds, 22 times easily. Cool. So you can go out in the field and lift and shoot a m2. That doesnt necessarily makes you a good infantryman. There is a characteristic called enDurance. In JA2 you also you can count agilty in, for that. In infantryunits and army elite its observable, that buildermen are not absolutely better than a average or agil guy, sometimes worse than them. Reason for that, is willpower and toughness. Even strenghtness will disapear without training and is depending on many other factors. Some people wont exceed a particular strenghtness, as well. And so on and on.. you can never-ever get all this depending factors get in a game and depict reality, nowadays. So actually, i like the new idea for Jagged 3, because i never was too convinced with the previous solution. I find the new slotsystem is actually a cool thing. Sometimes new things are better, than just the old stuff. And i find the new idea is actually a innovative novelty. But everybody have his own opinion, on most facts.
  10. "Always running" in JA3, wont be a true story..πŸ˜‰ If so, mercs are just a bit over motivated, or have restless legs syndrome. But anyway.. I really liked Ja2 Movement-possibilities. You could do tactic sidesteps and siderolls, which was a very useful and cool function standing next to windows or doors. This was a very well thought out feature. It would have been cool, if these tactical functions would find continuation or even extensions (standing sideleaning or siderolls when crounched). But im feeling kind of illusory, to dare expecting seeing that.
  11. I totaly agree with your opinion, that some gun stats just dont feel right. For me its NOT so much about realism, i dont think Jagged Alliance is the right game for any kind realistic gameplay. Its rather about plausible and rational and kind of "semi-realism", you could also call that "multiverse-reality" πŸ˜… For me JA is (or was?) based on reality at last, something like a cartoonished Version of IT. BUT f.e. If a weaker calibre weapon has doubled powerd damaged compared to a stronger calibre weapon thats odd, strange and feels just not plausible for me πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ (and perhaps for anyone who played games which weapons in it, which are based in real ones, or even people who have wpn experience). Weapon ranges of devs consideration could make it even worse. Another point is new concept of armor-penetration. Which is another elefant in the room, imo. Why? Said exaggerated: If you could shoot paper-ammunition with an Anti-Material rifle, would it be penetrante amor? Dont think so..😜 Otherwise, if there were pistol rounds made of uranium-wolfram, would they do? I guess probably yes.πŸ˜† So..how can a weapon penetrante Armor, per se? Actually not at all. Apparently, Jagged 3 armory was constructed in a irrational way, we are not really able to understand? And it wouldnt change a displeased feeling with facts. But, i dont wont bash the Game, before i played through, and also not blame the programmers, who did it. And allegedly its like everywhere. There is someone, who makes the desicions, the rest have to follow. πŸ˜† I also think its not too decisiving. Certainly can be fixed,..meaning modding.πŸ˜‰
  12. I like the new mercs. In my opinion they represent the idea of JA very well. Jagged Alliance mercs and nps were always cartoonished, archetyped and overdrawn. Thats the reason so many loved them, i suppose. The new might look different from the original ones, but also very well, in my opinion. I wondered about some choices, but im okay with them. You have to keep in mind..devs decided against interchangebable looking warsim soldiers, instead watched 80/90 actionmovies & expandables for development of JA3..so its no wonder, if mercs are cartoonished. I like this fact and i think Sir Tech had the same ideas in mind, at that time..and also they were not so overly accurate, concerning authenticity of merc-descriptions, as some assume, i think. Maybe haemimont devs were also inspired by movie Tropic Thunder.. πŸ˜† For example, that guy with perhaps swedish ancestors, named Len Anderson, is looking a like hes an afroamerican now. With that permanent grin, Scully is looking like a stoned lunatic maybe, Nails is looking way younger & like a hipster. Some of new old mercs looking better than before..for my taste. Raider and Shadow f.e. Anyway i like the new artwork very much, resembles action-heros much more and is more lively, than some sort of military uniform apperance, some players might have wished. And that the sizes of their heads are not the same, is completly logical for me,..while berets moves out of frame gaves the artwork more contrast, in my opinion.
  13. I like the new Trailer, looking very good. Well done death animations and looks fun to play πŸ‘ I am relieved for the new been-hit movements! Appreciation to your work, devs! And weapon tec rooms is looking cool & seems enjoyable. But again, weapon-stats.. FaMas - 24 rng M14 - 24 rng (DMG 21) M249 - 30 rng PSG1 - 36 rng (DMG 36) M82 - 40 rng Come on.. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜… For me, seems like somebody with no clue at all of real wpnstats invented these ingamestats by just rolling dices. Cause they really make no sense at all, even for in-game-reality.. Btw..f.E. JA3 enemy soldier: "Yesterday i got hit in my head by a 7.62. But it was only a scratch while it was shot by an G3. Luckywise not an MSG90, otherwise i would be dead"..πŸ˜… Other example: "Put a longer barrel on my Minimi 5.56. Now it shoots as precise and far like your PSG 7.62." πŸ˜‚ I hope this will be modable, very fast!
  14. I really like the Artwork of the new guns. And also the realistic sounds and muzzle flashes. Well done, with sound recording, i really celebrate this move! πŸ‘ Old Jagged-games are not so famous cause their 'wow' weaponsounds. πŸ˜… Im also a friend of the new inventory system, which actually resembles the classic JA style very good. -For me personally, its not necessary to have a 1.1300 Vests, Backpacks etc, to have fun with gameplay (Sometimes it was cool, smtms just dull & a waste of time to do all the micromanagement, repair or rebuy inventory-stuff..same with weapons). If youre just a casual gamer, you dont have so much time to turn every stone again & again.- 'Size' of weapons (2 different classes or so) is absolutly enough and reasonable; my modest opinion. For me, its just the good old classic jagged 1 style, overall. I like. ..sometimes less is more.. The upgrade-system has a nice style, specially for weapon enthusiast. Btw. it looks close to the Stalker: Clear Sky tec-room.πŸ˜‰ (you couldnt undone your uprades 2; what some people here suppose for JA3).. Noticed some weapon details: Car15 pictured with 20 mag, but 30 rnds in it..or M82A1 with only 5 rnds instead of the real 10 mag. Same with the different damage-ballistics of same calibers? I suppose these wpnstat- inconsequences were made for gamebalistics? I wont just let use my mercs some of these wpns, which i find incomprehensible πŸ˜† (One more level of difficulty, made it through Game, with only a steak-knife πŸ˜‚). All in all i think i like the new weapons, from what i have seen. I play Jagged games since the 90s and for me, they are no "realistic" warsims, but just fun and fantastic games with a very grim topic, anyway. And so far, for what i have seen, i think Jagged 3 armory will 'fun make great again' :).
