  1. Just saw it on the "Wider Trailer" you can see there even different type of enemies of the recent dev diary "Satellite View" pic where they were a guy with red beret, 2 with grey hat and 1 bonnie all appears to be in grey & black camo outfits.

    Now in the Wider trailer you can see a guy with blue beret & camo face, grey beret (looks like they got on dark grey trench coats) and 1 finally with a green steel helmet. Those type of enemies seems much better, more professional. Hope they AI is also more advanced (better range of sight, more tactical gameplay that they also try to flank you or ambush you.) then the goons and they are surely much more equipped.

     

    But what i have also noticed, either on battlefield or in the tactical map once we fight and our mercs, militia or the enemies die they will just darken the portraits, so no more classic Jagged Alliance (we got used it in JA1 & JA2) way once they are death there should come the iconic skull 💀 imagine.

     

    Not last but least why all of our militia are whites ? I mean we train and make Grand Chieniens militia or do we bring them from some other continent ? So it doesnt make sense, if not all, most of them should be black. 

     

    Then again no female militia or enemies in sight as yet.

    Sometimes its good, most of the times i was using it in building raids.

    There is a outbreak in Grand Chien (in the final minute of the video) 

     

     

    @Solaris_Wave Imo the enemies in uniform doesnt look bad at all when we look to the portraits but lets see how they will look in full figure.

    Quadruble Capony ? This is how those enemy types will be called ? Seems like they are hired foreign mercs, from what am seeing they have gray camo uniforms, more suitable for urban areas eeeh?

    Am playing currently the OG JA2 via Steam, C-7 is pretty much 1 of the best rifles overall in the game with a few others.

To increase during the game marksmanship is 1 of the fastest growing skills imo together with leadership (if you train constantly militia), to increase agility is harder though (you need to be sneaky and not be found), you can gain also explosion points quiet fast in JA2 in those blue flagged mine areas. Strength comes slower though, from opening or kicking lots of locked doors or opening creates.

Back to the topic and question, its impossible to rate a game without playing it but from the 25+ hours (I have watched 2 streamers complete 12 hours gameplay + almost all other videos on YouTube) beta gameplay, lots of stuff needs to be corrected, if they can do it in the final version, add more death animations (also fix the explosion animation), increase enemies sight of view more further, balance the game more (am not even talking about the mercs design or skin, if they could fix it too and add the lively portraits, i would rate it very possibly a good 5/5, 10/10) then am sure it can be really good to great game which i could score 4/5 or 7 outta 10. 

     

    But if they leave it almost like the beta version then i would possibly rate it 2.5/5 or 5/10 at best and thats mostly for the graphic design of the environment.

    Raven = A housewife from the 50's.
    Meltdown = an office clerk.
    Grunty = a house DJ from the 90's that now works in a snackbar.
    Wolf: a former p*rn star, stuck in his second youth. Probably drives an old Saab with soft top.
    Fidel: A Scottish drunk highlander (Yo Haerimont, wake up this dude is Arabian!)

    Hopefully modders will be able to do what Haerimont is uncapable of.

    I do agree they could do a lot better in the art work and also many characters looking off but Wolf looks imo battlefield ready and 1 of the few good looking models to be honest. Fidel looks good too but they could remove his jacket, by the way he is Cuban but guess has a Arab background cause of his surname and hairish look. I think they made Fidel look a bit stupid, i mean his voice acting is also a bit retarded, all what he can say is kill kill kill. I liked how Fidel talked in JA RAGE, was also throwing in some Spanish words at times.

    Abby is a legend, also the way she acts in the game is simply legendary.

    Only if Jagged Alliance had such a atmosphere it would be easily the best game of ll times.

    Actually, come to think of it, looking at the female mercs, there aren't any particularly tough or muscular women to choose from. If we are picking stereotype mercs in certain cases, there have been a few movies in the past that have featured female body builders.

    1 of my favorite female characters of gaming world.

Just finished playing JA2 Wildfire, must admit it was way harder then the OG JA2 where you felt like in every sector are at least 20-25 enemies, though you can close the gap as you get better weapons even early in the game but still, i just started playing JA2 Vanilla few days ago and i conquered already 3 cities and thats on hardest difficulty, back in the original JA2 you have in each sector (at least so far in Drassen, Chitzena & Cambria) only few enemies (10 or 15 max).

     

    Since January 2023 i played JA1 2 x times (once in normal & hard), Jagged Alliance 2 Wildfire (it took me 3 months to finish the game, takes a lot more time then JA2 Vanilla imo) and now am playing JA2 Vanilla, guess which i will finish within a 1 or 2 weeks. After that will write also a review of both (JA2 Vanilla & JA2 Wildfire).

     

    Then finally start playing Jagged Alliance 3.

  12. As i commented in this topic before, though the question was which would be your first team (A-Team), so the headline should be what will be your starting team ?

     

    I shortly finished playing JA2 Wildfire (Will give my opinion about it soon in Off Topic) and started few days ago with OG JA2 (Vanilla) and made starting team like this :

     

    Back to the question, how would be my JA3 starting team ? Very possibly with IMP, Grizzly (Igor) & Vicki (Ivan or Fidel). My 6 er first team (A Team) would be something like I.M.P., Fauda, Fidel, Ivan, Vicki and maybe Flay & Pierre. But it can also change depending the recruitable characters we didnt see as yet in Jagged Alliance 3 or the addional DLC`s mercs that will come later on.

  13. @Castle It seems like interesting idea, which also took place also back in Jagged Alliance 2 were several characters were from the team, including Miguel Cordona.

    Stepan Vasijlevic sounds to me like a Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian name, would suit in, there should be few mercs from the Balkans (from Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia etc..., they like military & mercenary stuff on that side) anyway in Jagged Alliance.

    Finally have to agree with you about something, yea with a realistic atmosphere like in Fallujah as example would make also Jagged Alliance a lot better. Jagged Alliance 3 goes a bit to Fortnite direction.

    In my opinion that are more accurate comparisons when you look at current successful projects with a hardcore background.

    6 Days in Fallujah isnt even out, how it can have huge amount of fanbase ? Cause its first person like Call of Duty ? Just watched some footages, hey i dont like first person shooters but the atmosphere looks good.

    Smiley is likely to be a new M.E.R.C. guy. I noticed the quest to find him in the same video at 20:16 — and it is marked as a M.E.R.C. quest. There are two more M.E.R.C. quests there btw — and I believe at least one of the guys mentioned there might be recruitable (see below).

    Pierre is heavily featured as an NPC in almost every stream but I've never seen the option to actually hire him. Still his model is present in the feature trailer among playable characters — he's standing between Meltdown and MD and right behind Scope. Since every other character in this part of the trailer is playable — I believe so is Pierre.

    I strongly believe we might have an opportunity to hire yet another old friend but I lack strong evidence. The guy was seen here and the same character is present in the feature trailer standing alongside our regular mercs. There is no UI in this part of the video though so zero proof that he is actually a part of the squad and thus that he is recruitable or at least playable.

    I don't actually know who Lobo is — never seen her anywhere. If someone can give me a hint — it would be much appreciated.

    And many, many thanks to you for compiling all this data for us and especially for the spreadsheet with all the stats and prices. It is incredibely helpful and absolutely priceless!

    Lobo was most likely a IMP, you can't name a female as Lobo anyway as it's masculine. For female it suppose to be loba.

     

    Flay is hireable so is Pierre & Larry as it seems.
