  1. The thing is, we don't know if stats are in the game, and from analyzing the trailer, the only "stats" we have are of Morale from the kills Buns does and then the +1 Health Barry gets from being nearly killed. Health and Morale aren't enough in my opinion to count as "stats". I would have at least liked to see what one of the merc profiles looks like for hiring. Even a rough copy with some basic info. As you guys keep mentioning, and I sincerely hope you guys are right, this is maybe just some Alpha testing stuff. I just feel even more skeptical since this trailer, kind of wish I had not seen it.. feels like they NEEDED to release SOMETHING for the event.
  2. Having hit chance and % values, is not bullet "physic" or a "physical" representation of a bullet. In JA1 & 2, the bullet is it's own physical object that will miss and hit other things, you will miss shots and hit windows, barrels, etc.. sometimes causing funny and adverse effects. Such as missing your target and hitting the leg of another enemy, or missing and hitting a barrel that destroys part of what you didn't want. You see its drop as well. It has a range and effect where it falls. In the recent trailer there is NO BULLET SPREAD! What? Are all guns laser energy rifles??? We never see stray bullets or ACTUAL misses. Everything is telegraphed exactly as in Xcom: @1:03 - We have bullets that "miss" but go through the body. How?? @1:34 - Many bullets go through body, but only 1 does damage. Why?? @1:56 - We see a pretty drastic shotgun spread (I mean, common! Shotguns DON'T spread like that! Even old JA2 got that right!) We do see what seems to be a single pellet miss the target and fly straight off. Is this a graphical feature? We don't see individual damage numbers for individual pellets, so I'm guessing it is simply a design feature that every now and then a flying pellet will create that illusion of spread. But here we go again... another "gun game" that can't even get something as basic as a shotgun RIGHT! More on that later. @2:03 - Again, no stray bullets AT ALL. Everything is laser telegraphed on everyone. We simply see damage numbers when it "decides" to hit or not. But pretty much every shot connects and is dead on target. Actually when you look at the part, the first enemy the bot shoots at, far top-right, the bullets go through the ennemy behind the wall, center of the screen. I've watched that part slow-mo 10+ times, bullets seem to clip through the first enemy, but takes no damage. @2:10 - Enemy fires what seems to be a machine gun (I think I see a bipod) and it is LASER accurate with ZERO spread. @2:14 - Steroid fires AK, again.. no spread, accurate laser fire. Effect goes through enemy and hits the wall at the exact same spot with an "effect". These parts of the video makes me feel this will play out exactly like xcom in terms of shooting mechanics. And neither do I hate xcom, it think it was good in its own way. I just don't feel Jagged Alliance needs to be like it, feel like it or act like it. @1:48 - We have no bullets in the inventory. Simple Guns loaded. We do see an empty RPG-7 Launcher, marked as empty, yet, graphically represented with the explosive head inserted. Inventory looks like it was made to work on a mobile device. Feels like a downgrade or at most equivalent to the inv in Jagged Alliance 1/2. I'm hoping they simply haven't created ammo yet, but why I have doubts, is when I look at... @1:49 - Famas, no indication of magazines, capacity or even TYPE of ammunition. We have weapon abilities now, because most JA2 lovers ask for no classes or "perks".. so why not give that to guns too now!!? + Accuracy (First Aim) + Accuracy (same target) //shouldn't that be dependant of merc stats??? + Cause no grazing hits (max aim) //this kind of confirms no bullet physics, as the bullet hitting is what would cause a "graze", not the weapon. + Ignore Accuracy Penalties (max aim) //How can a firearm ignore accuracy effects. + Lethal Attack Chance //It's a goddamned gun, I hope it can be lethal!!!! ??? Top left, you can see "perks" like Distracting Shot.... seriously? Nice to know I can fire my gun in the air to "distract" ??? @1:52 - Hi-Power Perks: Single-Shot, Dual-Shot, Distracting Shot, Mobile Shot. What??? Dual-Shot!? is that a weapon perk equivalent to taking two shots, a double-tap? Or is the gun modified to fire a 2-round burst? @1:53 - Double-Barrel Shotgun-Shot.... ? //I don't even know what to say to that! Now, let's compare the ranges: Famas - 24 Hi-Power - 14 Double-Barrel - 6 How is a double-barrel shotgun THAT bad for range when it's pretty easy for anyone without gun knowledge to simply hop on Youtube and see that shotguns don't have that bad range/exaggerated spread as they do in cheap video games. It isn't like that was misrepresented in Jagged Alliance either.. JA2 actually did Shotguns relatively good justice. Slugs are a viable options and relatively accurate, as they should be! Look, I don't mean to be a complete jerk here, but part of what attracted many to Jagged Alliance to start with, and one of the big reasons many of us still play 1.13... to some extent is the "realistic" representation of weapons, ammunition, ranges and attachments in a very pure and "un-game-ified" way. So let's scrap all that, replace gun stats by fake perks, let's give guns these arbitrary ranges and call it a day? Jagged Alliance 2 actually has scale to permit statistics to make actual sense. Sure, the scale was maybe a little odd for the HD monitors we have nowadays. But having proper mathematical scale in the game isn't the problem, resolution back then was.. I wasn't hoping for a recreation of 1.13, but a slight upgrade to Jagged Alliance 2 in terms of physics and representation. Instead, I feel we are getting a game that seems to be ready to be ported for mobile use; guns that are simplified to a comical level, now with their own perks on top of it! @1:09 - Ivan speaks English (why???) and says, - after Buns a Danish woman, takes an AK burst: "You are Russian? Russian women make best snipers." Is that supposed to be funny? Ivan is supposed to speak Russian ONLY! @2:10 - Barry GAINS +1 health after being shred to pieces??? Shouldn't his max health DECREASE until properly doctored? We now have goals for mercs to carry out. @1:39 - Top-right: Omryn must kill 2 enemies at point-blank range. @2:14 - Top-right: Steroid must kill 2 enemies at point-blank range. So, maybe we will have mission screens with side-quests to achieve specials points as well?? Or wait, maybe mercs unlock PERKS if they achieve their goals. Horrible thought! A few months ago, I had a SERIOUS feeling of hope after learning some of the devs played and love Jagged Alliance 2. But, I'm starting to feel that was just "marketing" and a way to keep us from getting too outspoken because of the quiet. The map design, graphics and level of detail for the static items and effects are very very good, exactly what I expect from Haemimont Games.. ..on the other hand, when I look at the gameplay, the CORE feature I want in Jagged Alliance, I don't see ANY hints of it. I see a skin for something else, something totally unrelated to JA. Another attempt in the same mindset as Flashback, Rage, Back in Action. Giving me names of mercs doesn't make a game. I don't see the devs JA2 experience in what I've seen in the two trailers so far. Actually, looking here, I think Back in Action doesn't seem to bad after all.
  3. I said these things. OVERWATCH Oversimplification of an interrupt system. Why? Interrupts are dynamic; representative of hearing, sight, reaction, reflexes and abilities. Based on RPG mechanics and experience level. NEVER guaranteed means that, YOU, through your experience with individual mercs, will weigh your chances when deciding whether you want to save AP's in case there might be an interrupt or not. Why is this important? It requires a basic level of RPG stats and mechanics and comparison between mercs and enemies. This feels more "natural" than setting a cone that guarantees and reaction shot. That, feels like a card game, or a board game, where you have an ability in your hand, and decide to play it in exchange of xx points. It removes the necessity for Roleplaying elements, stats and at the same time removes some of the core layers that made Jagged Alliance a ROLE PLAYING game. UI LOCK ON I don't see how this is better for a fluid gameplay experience. In JA 1 & 2, the cursor never locks to an enemy. Yet it was always super simple to simply right click to aim more, and left-click to shoot. Why can't the firemode be placed near the image of your gun? In JA2, the only times aiming body parts is hard is because of the perspective and when enemies are very near one another and playing on higher resolutions can mean there is some body overlap. But looking through the video of JA3, the camera is so often zoomed-in that body parts are EASY to distinguish and identify. Why can't the mouse cursor simply be free and you simply aim at the body part you want to shoot at? Instead, we will have a system that needs you to select an enemy, then select body part, then select aim level.. but then what it you are quickly looking over your options.. you have unlock the enemy to now to select the next one and repeat? Why? Why these EXTRA clicks to achieve the same thing? Because: simplified game mechanics. It gives me the impression there will be no body area representation, or bullet "simulation". No individual body zones. Body parts will simply incur a hard penatly to your chance-to-hit, you will simply select the "penatly" for the chance to hit that "part". Shouldn't this be a step UP from JA2? Give me a free mouse that can move WHENEVER I want and let me aim at whatever body part I want (why not just highlight the body part?), give us individual arms, legs, torso, head, etc.. right click for aim levels and left click to fire, SIMPLE! Gun UI should feature basic gun features like turning on or off attachments, changing fire mode, etc.. Movement UI should contain anything related to movement, from position, speed and look direction. Not sure what is so clunky about the world map in JA2.. maybe high resolutions and resolution scaling can cause issues, but not that I've had recently in JA2 anyways. Sometimes selecting the task for your merc requires a click to exit the menu, but I mean, that's something you expect to have smoothed out. Not ADDING extra clicks. I will often repeat that this looks like a modern xcom/phoenix point clone simply because so many UI and design elements seem to be taken straight out of those games, all the way down to colours of UI to the way movement ranges are highlighted to the way you hard lock onto enemies and select options once you've selected an enemy. Inventory. I mean, seriously, the inventory here looks like the inventory in Flashback. Honestly, I look over the video over and over, and I don't see Jagged Alliance. Where are the RPG stats and bullet "physics"? Instead, we have icons over the enemy heads indicating their "role", like the grenade icon. So? Class-based system??? When @2:16, Steroid fires his AK... the bullets are LITERALLY a STRAIGHT line that go right through the enemy and like a laser-pointer????? I'm sorry, but this is really NOT the direction I want for a game that was slapped with the title: JAGGED ALLIANCE This doesn't in ANY way feel like the 3rd game in the series.. but simply a modern re-imagining with elements taken from popular turn-based games: X-com, Phoenix Point and the other similar ones.
  4. I don't think I feel as excited or neither surprised at what I've seen. I was maybe crossing my fingers and hoping I wouldn't get the feel of an xcom clone with a different skin and a few tweaks. But, that is what I got. I don't hate xcom, but overwatch? NO THANKS! Clunky UI. JA2 from 1999 had a simpler UI and wasn't locked on target with buttons to click. Feeling a little down after the trailer... only thing that really stood out to me was map design looked interesting. But we didn't see much, only a few built up locations. What kind of terrain will we have? Jungles? Forest? Waterfalls? Desert? Oasis? Roads? Day/Night cycle? This felt like a simple extension from the trailer we saw in September of 2021 BC.
  5. I don't know how to feel about the new trailer. Parts of it look promising; like the map design and the weapon customization. Yet, I feel somewhat underwhelmed with the gameplay and UI. Not sure if the gun sounds are "final", but they all sounded the same. Maybe I'm just being difficult? As much as I try to be fair and see both sides of the coin, part of me can't help but feel that when this game releases, I won't feel it is JAGGED ALLIANCE.. simply an Xcom clone with a new skin and a few tweaks. My 2 biggest points of contention from the trailer: 1. Clunky and slow UI with your cursor locked on the enemy and having to click choices before shooting That feels like a HUGE downgrade from a game that released in 1999. Simply mouse over the body part, right click to aim, left click to shoot. I'm surprised they haven't simply tried to make that possible in the new game. For PC, as visually easier system like having the body part highlighted to make it visible, like if you point your pointer over the arm, or the head or the torso, or the legs, that body part will highlight in red, and the person your cursor is aiming at would be in highlighted in white or something. For console, simply use the R/L or a joystick to "tab" between body parts. Anyways, REALLY not a fan of the UI. Back when JA2 was released, we still used 4:3 monitors for a long time. Now that we have so much wider monitors, I would have expected top and bottom to be clear of UI, and put the icons and merc portraits on the right or left edges with a sliding menu to set semi/burst/auto mode and other stance-related settings. My keyboard also has enough keys to have so many shortcuts.. as I do with JA2 since... well.. 1999. 2. Overwatch It simply has no place in this game. I know many Xcom players will like it.. I really hate it. Has no place in Jagged Alliance. JA has a perfect system that scales with the level and experience of the individual merc. Try getting Flo to interrupt an enemy. Nope. She's just not good enough for that, so you won't put her in a situation where she would be the one to interrupt. On top of that, if in the event she would get one... would she even be able to hit her target? ๐Ÿคฃ For the moment, this is all I will say about it, as there is so much from the trailer that to me feels like a trailer; snippets of gameplay that only shows fractions of what I would hope it is. And then again, maybe this is all I should expect? Sorry to sound like a downer.
  6. I don't even know what to say honestly. As much as I appreciate living in what I consider a safe place on this planet, sometimes I wonder how much time, money and effort is wasted in different parties simply posing for election purposes.. or just to look good in front of their audience. Look, I'm not some gun activist or anything, I understand restrictions and limitations, and while I agree with SOME of the ones we already have in place... these new laws are ridiculous! They seem to be made to appease the "mindless" and ignorant part of our citizens. The ones who can't think for two minutes that putting money into EDUCATION would have greater chances to reduce gun crime (by unmarked or black market firearms anyways) compared to banning handgun purchases by those who actually have a head on their shoulders. This tells the "general" populace: Handguns are evil, Handguns kill innocent lives, we need to ban handguns. And sometimes you have some ignorant news person who talks about the firearm used with all the wrong words and focus put o the wrong place. Instead of talking about why or what went on, who committed what type of crime and making it clear that it wasn't some law-abiding citizen, but some gangster with unregistered black market firearms... nope. Here "apparently the gunman would have used an assault style weapon" because the gun was black or something.. and then they go on with something like "which brings the question; would stricter firearms laws have saved these innocent lives?". Seriously?!?!? You just want to throw your tv out the window! Here, in the province of Quebec, the VAST majority of gun owners are hunters. We have such vast wilderness and even many city dwellers go out during hunting season. The handgun licence has extra security measures that don't apply to hunting/sporting rifles/shotguns. One must be part of a club to legally own and HAVE a handgun, proof needs to be provided, rules are very strict. Most are for sporting/fun... and even if we can't say it out loud, even for those who practice as for self-defence in case of some extreme case, in 99.9% of cases, those aren't stupid people or criminals. Those are legally owned, registered firearms. Anyways, you know all that too. Although I did pass my handgun license and could have it, I never gave my request, just because I find it complicated and extremely expensive (when I already have normal rifle/shotgun). So while this new law doesn't necessarily affect me personally, it just makes me feel I live around a mindless population that isn't able to see such basic political power play to win over members. I just shake my head and roll my eyes. ๐Ÿ™„

    April Fools'?

Oh man, oh man, oh man.... I feel exactly what you are saying! It is one of my "biggest" topics of controversy. I won't go into so many details, because, as you noticed, @Hendrix created an awesome forum topic for this kind of crap.. but most of my favorites have been completely.... wait, I know, let's use an oldie to depict the modern situation:
  8. Anyone watch Gladbeck: The Hostage Crisis ? It's on Netflix (in Canada anyways) and looks to be like Nokas, which is easily one of my favorite movies (Norwegian) depicting "realistic" firefights (it has a very similar feel to a firefight taking place in a game like Jagged Alliance).
  9. Yeah, from what we've gathered in these forums, the devs are pretty much under strict Publisher rules, so they unfortunately cannot give us much (nothing actually). Everything we have to "study the game under microscope" dates back to October/September 2021. ๐Ÿ˜•
  10. @trueman11 Sorry, couldn't edit my post anymore. But my arguments we're 200% friendly in nature and are simply opinions, nothing more! I respect and appreciate all opinions. This isn't Steam Discussions ๐Ÿป
  11. I HATE to argue your point, because I would also like a JA2 Remaster (to some extent), but at the same time, I'm old enough to understand what is at stake (jobs, wages, future support from Publisher(s)) and am able to weigh my expectations accordingly. I also strongly disagree with your above statement, again, I hate to disagree with it, because inside, I WANT to agree with it. Take most Bethesda games, take the new Xcoms, Civilizations, Starcraft, Call of Duties, Battlefields, and in what I consider to be among one of the best RPG series, Mass Effect... those we're all made for the wider broader audience in mind. They weren't made for the more technical and niche audience that appreciates something like 1.13 or some really complex layers like grand strategy games (Hearts of Iron, Victoria, Europa Universalis) to name the popular ones. Those popular games have some of the most die-hard fans that will play the games for as long as they breathe. Yet, they are made for no one in particular. You don't need to be a military buff, or an armchair general, or a master strategist to play something like Civilization. It is approachable by a VERY wide audience! Same goes for most games I've mentionned... just look at most games by Bethesda. As much as I like their unique world landscapes, usually the game is barebones basic and is filled with mostly generic stuff... yet, I'd be surprised to learn that Bethesda games aren't the ones that rack up the most combined hours of gameplay out of most games. Just look at how many versions of Skyrim that released, and the staggering amount of mods STILL being developed. Those are games that although many gamers will play, they are also on many gamers favorite all-time lists. Look, I love Jagged Alliance 2, it is by far one of my favorite games of all time; I would have trouble playing it without 1.13, simply because I've gotten used to mechanics slowly through 1.13 versions. But to sincerely EXPECT Haemimont Games to recreate JA2 to perfection is unfair and would most likely mean the game would tank. Do you REALLY think we niche die-hard fans are enough in numbers to make Haemimont Games at least pay the bills, pay their employees? Give them raises? For a studio like them, maybe the difference between a game that tanks or a game that succeeds to a wider audience means the difference between it's survival... or at the very least the scope of their next project. Also keep in mind, Haemimont Games are dealing with a publisher, so they don't have 100% control over everything, they have expectations to fulfil and probably if expectations are failed, it has deeper long-term consequences. On another note, it is also extremely unfair to ask a studio such as Haemimont Games to simply want to "copy" an old game. Imagine having a bunch of employees eager to work on a project, but then we tell them they have to simply copy as faithfully as possible (or remaster) an old game, one they've never had a hand in creating either? As much as I want a modern Remaster of JA2 with 1.13 and all the guns in the world... I do want a fresh game, with the layers, humours and complexities of the original JA2, but with new mercs, a new story, new locations. New easter eggs to discover. That said, I get where you are coming from; for JA3 to standout, to feel unique, new and fresh... to pay homage to its roots, it must keep certain aspects intact! That, you are 120% on point! Humour, unique mercs, basic one-liners and comments on actions, or reactions... give these mercs more than a picture and generic words. Multi-layered strategy, I wouldn't want a dumbed-down version of JA2, "simple" enough for newcommers not to throw the game away within the first 10 minutes, but with complex enough options for us fans. There is so much I also want... but until we get updates, kind of hard to set expectations.
  12. I'm constantly bombarded with comments like: "Wow!! you haven't seen John Wick!!" "It will blow your mind" "Best action movies ever!"... So I started watching the first movie about a month ago... 20 minutes in, I couldn't stand it anymore.. My recent "military-esque" movies that stood out for me: Mosul https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9252468/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Steel Rain https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6769508/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Actually, STEEL RAIN has become among one of my favorite movies; it has a balanced amount of suspense, action, martial arts... and a hint of humour!
  13. I've certainly missed so many of them in that case.. most of the ones I know I go off memories of reading things back in the early 2000's. And even then, some I've just never even tried.. this game has so many little hidden things. So if you were to make one, I would probably learn a whole bunch of new things I never knew! ๐Ÿ˜Š
  14. I used to shoot him as well.. but in my last playthroughs, I give him a ten and then I never lose packages. I'm not certain if both outcomes change much.. probably town loyalty which can make a difference if you need to train militia very early. Same goes for Doreen, I usually talk her down her post and she quits.. a few times I would just shoot her.
  15. I actually enjoyed that game as well, quite alot. But it still didn't feel like Jagged Alliance. I enjoyed it as I enjoyed Brigade E5 and 7,62mm High Calibre.. as more of a Tactics game with less "soul" and humour. igougo is perfect for small squad tactics and it actually feels more tactical as timing matters.
  16. Hahahaha! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've been debating VR for quite some time, but I would have to upgrade my video card first, RX 5700 XT isn't (in my opinion) good enough to maintain high refresh rate VR.. and well, I am finding it so hard to justify the cost of a GPU nowadays for the little gaming I do with games that are VERY demanding. My PC upgrading and/or new build has taken a real pause because of the cost of GPU's during the covid thing. While prices have come down, here in Canada anyways, I still feel the price of cards way too high. When I bought my "Founder's Edition" RX 5700 XT, it was the same price that you can get a modern 3060 non Ti or a RX 6600 XT. Even if those cards would be better than the one I have, they wouldn't feel 500$ worth of better, just such a tiny upgrade that well to get something that makes sense to "upgrade" I would have to spend like 800$ - 1000$ on a midrange GPU like 3070 Ti or RX 6800. At that point, I don't know. I don't like the thought of so much money on a GPU... so VR is on hold for the moment. I still haven't decided if I will buy the Steam Deck or not. As for the Switch, to play some more basic video games with your wife, I think the Switch is the best console. The games are just really fun, like the party games, mario kart, sports games... they are easy and fun to get into. If you really like turn-based tactics (like we do), then you would probably like to introduce her to Mario & Rabbids. I mean, it's pretty cute and funny and it is simple but challenging. It is different enough from new xcom in style of play, but it keeps the easy interface and gear and easy 1-2-turn style that makes it less intense for newcommers to turn-based games. It was my favorite Switch game! I don't usually laugh THAT much at "children's" movies or games, but Mario + Rabbids was kind of funny, the rabbids faces always kind of made me giggle. It's also easily the type of thing a girl (I don't want to judge all girls, but just in "general".. stereotype I guess) would find cute and funny.
  17. @Wigen What do you think about the article? Worries? Hopes?
  18. @Wigen THANK YOU! ๐Ÿป What are my thoughts? To be honest, at this point, I feel a little blank when I think about JA3. I have the impression that much of what we saw in the original trailer will be different, but maybe not in the way I would like it to be. I hope that Jagged Alliance 3 will be Jagged Alliance and not an Xcom mod/skin.. it's pretty much that simple. I know the article says it won't be a two action turn, but that doesn't mean much; they could have made it into 4 action points instead and the result will be similar. I am very curious about the free movement thing though. This would resemble something more like Jagged Alliance Back in Action. Does this mean we will have line of sight from the view of eyes and then another line of sight for the guns? It gives me more questions and less answers and so I feel maybe even more mixed up again. ๐Ÿ˜• I honestly want to feel positive about the game, as much for other fans as for HG; I'm pretty certain they must feel some sort of passion (I hope) working for this project. It's just hard to get my mind around the game or what to think at the moment. But thanks man! Thank you for the time you take to keep this place active! You created this topic OCTOBER 15th 2021 ๐Ÿ˜‚
  19. Aren't we supposed to get some revealed information in August?
  20. I appreciate Real-time with Pause in games that do it well: Baldur's Gate Dragon Age Mass Effect etc.. Where it becomes a little bit tedious in games like: Brigade E5 / 7.62 High Calibre Jagged Alliance Back in Action etc.. They calculate fractions of seconds.. and I hate going through some process of looking at gamified weapon stats for time to aim, raising weapon times..etc.. I also feel it is too much when you have multiple squads fighting different fronts because of constant micro-pausing to look here, look there.. you end up having to put the game in slow-motion and checking to see where a grenade is being thrown while the other squad on the other side of the map is taking fire and injuries. At the point it is a real-time strategy game like Men of War (which is awesome for that type of game). I don't hate real-time with pause at all, but I hope that Jagged Alliance 3 continues in the footsteps of Jagged Alliance 2 and stays true to its roots.
  21. Yes, this is something that does need to be fixed from JA2. In JA2, if you want to go somewhere on foot and you encounter forces, going to the map edge to "escape" combat (because you know you do not have the forces or equipment) gives your team a big moral debuff.. this is not something that makes sense to me. I would like to think you need to employ guerilla tactics and not advance like an invading force.
  22. I am a little confused... JA2 is turned-based.. when you say "Active pause" I think of games like Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Jagged Alliance Back in Action, 7,62 High Calibre/ Brigade E5, etc... where you hit the space bar to activate PAUSE. I don't mind that at all, but in this case, because it is Jagged Alliance, I would prefer it stay faithful to its roots, keep it a Turn-Based game. If it had to become active pause, then just make it active pause, not both. Having both means way more work that can be taken away from more important things like story, design, maps, items, etc...
  23. I know exactly what you mean! I do have my own idea though from other videos I have gone to watch discussing technical things with worlds and all that. I believe it will be like any Bethesda game, many interesting locations, fun things to do here and there, but maybe lacklustre writing and more of a sandbox with a story slipped in. I am anxious to see it, becasue I think if they can get the settlement thing well done (I spent so much time building in Fallout 4... I love simcity okay!?) and the customizing of your spaceship... I might at least enjoy exploring and discovering the worlds Bethesda are great at. But, we'll see.. There is not emoji with binoculars. But if there was, I wouldn't put him here. AI, hard to find! It requires too much time to implement, test and debug. So just put that time and effort in something eye-catching. Like graphics. ๐Ÿ™„ But I'm just repeating what you already know as well. I'm also going through a similar process, many of my hobbies are taking over and sometimes it's simply because my head is already full from work and life, so sometimes sitting to learn new very complex games or time consuming RPG's is not the way I do things anymore. Maybe this is why, for myself, I find it easy to go back to JA2 and hope JA3 is very similar.. the familiarity would be a very big advantage for myself, because I would feel I could use my experience in the series to skip having to learn whole new systems and mechanics and just get down to the fun part of the story, the characters and the battles. Have you thought of the Steam Deck at all? I did have a Nintendo Switch for a while about a year ago. Part of it was fun, but then just having to buy new games while I have hundreds and hundreds of PC games sitting around... it was taking my $ away from some modelling hobbies. I'm still on the fence even for the Steam Deck although I only hear good things.
  24. Personally, I feel "divided" on his content. I don't mind it at all, but something about his presentation just doesn't resonate with me. It's hard to put my finger on really. His videos are very high quality, very "pro". Something about the content that isn't as "down-to-earth" as some other Youtubers I personally prefer. I still enjoy some of his videos though, it's just not my go-to. Not the guy I'd go talk to if he was in a crowd with my other Youtubers. Maybe style of personality??
