  1. Sure. Been there done that. Yet a local 'targ' or different bazar style place isnt comparable to Grand Chien, not only because they are in the middle of massive war but also because Grand Chien isn't exactly real 😄
  2. Yes that what they are. You are buying 'cat's in the bag' they are not arms dealers, nor ammo dealers. They are not Tony or Bobby Ray specialised merchants. FFS - look at them, its bunch of dudes on the bazar selling crap from the foldable tables in the middle of shanty town. You are expecting them to have guns that come with full spec and warranty well oiled in the pretty box? No - you are getting some firearm (cat's in the bag) that you will learn more about when you put your hands on, disassemble etc. It makes perfect sense in these circumstances. Why would I buy unknown stuff, even from poor people? Then don't buy. It's not requirement to buy from them it is choice.
  3. If you never tried - play Straciatella mod - if you feel need going back to JA2 though. Since JA3 is a worthy successor 😉
  4. This makes no sense at all. What you saying isn't gameplay and what you suggest is not improving it - its breaking the game to fit someone who doesn't care, in the slightest, about the Jagged Alliance part of the title. This is fine - but it doesn't make any sense. You are playing after all a story driven RPG game with TBS elements not a sandbox Civilization style game. Maybe you need to play different game then? Try 1.13.
  5. yes they are. All that fits perfectly into the narrative and story. They are not arms dealers, they are some poor dudes selling rubbish on some weird bazar like setting in the middle of god forsaken country torn by civil war, coup de etat and other 'fun' activities. So yeah, they may have limited shit stock of items they dont udnerstand themselves.
  6. I am not disagreeing. Good to know. It would disappear in JA2 (seemed like everyone in Arulco is a thief!) - it felt like folks in Grand Chien are less prone to thievery - but I was probably wrong 🙂
  7. yes that what I meant. You need to move to the sector, and open sector inventory and do it from there. not just dropping stuff all over the place.
  8. I stand corrected then. I never had anything disappear but, admittedly, I would rarely go back to pick these things anyways or that I would remember what exactly I've left behind 😛
  9. I don't believe anything disappears from the sector inventory. Just open it up in sat view mode and throw there.
  10. + Agree here - it would be easier that way. However people will whine and complain on squad splitting as they will forget to move materials. I am 100% certain, + 100% - Disagree. Explosives should be in each merc inventory. Side note - its funny to see how the tune changed (not saying you personally) from pre-release - 'we hate team inventory' to 'omg add more things to shared inventory' No opinion here. Could be useful, could be not. I would love to see some document in the game listing all possible combination - but that's just because I am lazy Since there are no airports - the online shop could be added but with very long lead times - so it doesnt break the game economy or the world settings. OR which would be very cool they could do 'drop' by parachute somewhere in the area of the desert where it would need to be found, could go missing, broken, scattered and/or fought over with enemies. No. Disagree. These traders fit perfectly in the world setting. It is a backward country, with a civil war, evil corporation, communist and f... know what else fighting over it for years. These traders are some poor souls scrapping together what they can find and selling whatever they get. It makes way more sense to have them like that on the... well, flea-market, after all than some sort magic gun runners with massive supply of ammo and custom guns.
  11. I really don't. Just replied and quoted first answer to my post - happened to be yours 😛 However! There was no function of 'look here' button in JA2. It served no other purpose than just saving 1-2AP if you had any left for next turn. Your merc had 360 vsion anyways... changing where they were looking at made zero difference.
  12. Wildfire characters are not JA characters 🤭. I love the characters in 3 - the grotesque cartoonish colourful mad kind like Kick Ass characters is exactly how they always were and supposed to be - this time finally (due to progress in tech) are executed perfectly. as for who I miss would be probably Buzz as I would sometimes get her in the beginning.
  13. It’s such a bolloxed artificial ‚problem’. All your mercs have 360 vision (like it always was in JA and all tactical games pretty much). All you need to do is position your scout where you need him/her to be. Get him into hidden mode. And once he detects the enemy do whatever you’d normally do. No need to set overwatch which serves different purpose.
  14. @GODSPEED let me reply by quoting yourself : I'm NOT looking for a 'fight'.. more to understand such thoughts This are my thoughts. It feels like that for me. I don’t need it and similar to @MateKiddleton it doesn’t feel like Jagged Alliance to me anymore. I don’t have problem with people loving it to the extreme of being borderline fanatics. Each to their own - but I do have problem when loud fanatics are trying to impose their version on everyone.
  15. Yup. But there’s no airport and I don’t think Bobby rays do delivery by sea 😉 @Warmonger down in Porto Cacao - the dumbster (I call it junkyard because of fallout) you can craft ammunition there with right merc and gunpowder 😜
  16. There’s tonnes of ammo 🙂 - just craft it! Take over the junkyard and you can make all the ammo you need there. Didn’t have issue with lack of ammo…
  17. And what exactly stops you from doing this is JA3 ? You are not seriously suggesting you can’t do it because there is no option to rotate your merc around? Further to the point of @Jaywalker- it’s like you guys never played JA2…
  18. I can only speak for myself since you called me out 🙂 I don’t hate 1.13. I played 1.13 million times. I just feel like 1.13 changed the game beyond what Jagged Alliance 2 is - a quirky TBS with some light realism and loads of pisstake on 90s action movies. 1.13 pushed it into realm of seriousness and realism. Not what JA is or ever was about. For better graphics, resolution etc - I have straciatella mod.
  19. I agree with the @Chris Xia and @GODSPEED in principle. Like @GODSPEED I love the look of the mercs I hope it will stay. I disagree with this not being JA it totally is. It’s great and how successor to JA and JA 2 should look like. Yes it isn’t in line with 1.13 - but for me at least - isn’t real JA it expands on it towards realism and better tactical game but kills its soul in the process. Yes it isn’t perfect but it is great. Le Roi Est Mort, Vive le Roi!
  20. Major is actually very good. I don’t want to spoil anything but I 100% love what they did with this dude. Once the identity is revealed any true fan of Jagged Alliance series should be super happy. It is clear it’s been done by fans or people who knew the series really well.
  21. thats not true. Auto combat is nearly always available - unless specific conditions are set - which is very very rare.
  22. Just do it. Return. Stop whining. It works fine - and it works fine on steam deck with less than perfect controls. It works better on pc. Active pause could be useful but its dumbing down the game to the lowest common denominator.
  23. I see this. I played JA 2 I don’t know how many times - gazzillion probably. I have never ever bother with arming militia. It was quicker and cheaper just to hire cheap guys from merc and keep them strategically positioned so they could jump and train more.
  24. Totally awesome. The whole merc line is beautiful.
  25. To add to this - both Buns and Doc dislike Nails. Buns I don’t remember now what was the reason but had to pay extra fee and same with Doc - he said Nails bullies him 😅
