  1. They want all portraits to have the same size... For some of them it's like if you were zooming on the image (even if the final size is the same). It seems monstrously disturbing for some people; obviously they left before the end of the therapy...
  2. The size of the portrait inside the picture is not a "bug" for me; and if it is, it should be the last one to fix.
  3. They follow the Mandalorian credo: "the client has to pay the equipment".
  4. I didn't mean actual subscription, I rather meant that if you like the DLC, you'll buy each new one and it'll be "kind of a subscription". Even if you know nothing, you have no obligation to provide a proof of your ignorance. Recently Russian soldiers had to purchase part of their equipment to go to war. So, we can assume mercs or enemies have no complete outfit...
  5. Flexibility, personalization potential, makes sales. But it's something you have to plan at the beginning of the game, not at the end. The possibility now is to buff up the game with cheap DLC that would become kind of a subscription.
  6. You have categories among games, and as you know it's related to the budget you have. It's the same for any product. No offense to anyone Jagged Alliance is more a low budget. It's also a niche market: turn based tactical games. All that to say you can't expect a game like Aliens. More about aliens, you can't even compare Jagged Alliance to X-Com because the budgets of the later are so much bigger. X-Com 2 sold 500 000 copies! JA2 sold around 200 000 (and at that time it was a less competitive gaming environment); Jagged Alliance: Back in Action was around 100 000 copies sold. Now, "to compare" Call of Duty Modern Warfare is selling around 30 millions copies. The thematic is close, but it's a FPS and people enjoy this style much more than turn based. Conclusion, if you want Jagged Alliance to be at the level of Aliens, have the game published by Activision.
  7. I think they should create a line of goodies that you can purchase directly on Amazon. It's quite easy to do and they won't even need to take care of it. They'll just need the mock up and Amazon will manage the creation and delivery. So, if you can't have your mug it's a lack of professionalism of the communication department (as it literally costs them nothing). The same for t-shirts, usb keys and many others goodies.
  8. Great, it'll match French independance's day! Besides, there's no major game during summer in general, so it'll be possible for Jagged Alliance to have more visibility.
  9. This is very minor. I prefer more guns, more side quests, more mercs than just taking time to fix unimportant details.
  10. That's a pity they can't be used to craft boots!!!
  11. If you can do a better job, just do it! So far the game is not perfect but looks great. When was the last time you had a worthy contribution to video games industry? Ian Currie had higher budgets for his games.
  12. I was underestimating that point, that's true. Still, after a few dozens of hours of play, the "interactions" are very repetitive. I hope JA3 offers a greater part of the show to mercs. I'm not sure the beginning stats are that high, but it depends which mercenary you're comparing it to. Considering the balancing mechanics, it could be right, but who should decide about the balance? The customer or the game designer? Isn't it like in a restaurant; the chief prepares the dish the way he considers it the most flavored and balanced, but once on the table you're free to add more salt, spices or ketchup.
  13. According to reviews, it's possible to create our own merc (like in JA2). What about being able to create more than one merc, and eventually a full team of personalized characters? This should be a very minor adjustment for developers, and it's adding possibilities without removing anything. What do you think? One is enough, two would be fine, or up to the full team of six.
  14. I'm not sure they use it much in western Africa.
  15. The entire team with minigun in full-auto fire mode and hollow points rounds and it was quite easy.
  16. West of Europe, France, south of Paris. All geopolitical aims are justified whatever your economy. Still, you need to be congruent with your goals. This aid is coming from western powers' pockets, therefore they have the right to benefit from it. Alliance are like clubs, refusing to follow the rules of the club is legitimate, but then don't ask to be a member. And if not a member, no surprise you won't get the advantage of the club... Nonetheless, Russia received a lot of money from western countries in early 90s.
  17. It seems to me there was some "adult magazines" in JA2. The brothel and the strip club were funny (but under-exploited) places too. I wonder if they kept the idea?
  18. Maybe it'd be more interesting to have sequels rather than a JA4. I mean something a bit like we have in Diablo. It will be expanding the maps, adding to the story, adding mercs, weapons and also more customizations for created characters. This way the development team will be capitalizing on the job done, fixing even more bugs and providing a longer gaming time.
  19. The proof there are different kinds of Jagged Alliance players for 30 years.
  20. It could be "part" of a DLC as I don't expect developers to work for free.
  21. Too often "trolls" are people with different point of view, approach and sensibilities. I felt insulted by now one so far, and if people felt insulted I'm sorry. There's a war ongoing not that far away, and even if some think it's not a good idea to remove the Russian flag from Jagged Alliance, at least they express themselves. Has people with more power been able to do the same, we'd be enjoying a much better planet to live on.
  22. @Sarin it's interesting to exchange with @Godzilla because he has a different point of view, no?
  23. Why not @DougS2K, but will they have time to do it? After, maybe they can fix these problems with patches, little by little once the game is released.
  24. I went there already. It's full of people who tell you they can kill Godzilla with a toothpick, then pass a guy from militsia and they pee on themselves. But you're right, it's dangerous, you loose hope there. Russia progressed over the 30 last years only because it was influenced by the US and western countries. Check videos on the way it was before. Russia produces almost nothing and with both the war and Chinese alliance, it's industry will crash. As soon as Russians have a little bit of money they purchase western goods. Do you realize Russia is already humiliated on the warfield while NATO didn't start fighting? Ukraine has no navy and Russia can't rule the Black Sea. Ukraine has no planes and Russia can't have air superiority. Half western leaders don't want to provide more weapons to Ukraine because they're afraid Russia will become a new Iraq if Ukrainians crush Russia.
