Claypl
The worst part of this is game is how easy it is to decide to restart the game even after small tumble. Setting up your team is where I have the most fun, so even if I loose one merc I already start thinking what if I have these and these guys, who can work together, who new put into the team and which specialists I can bench or which traits I can skip. Then going through new dialogs or listen through their bickering is always fun no matter how silly it is sometimes 😄 I'm doomed with my iron man playthroughs 😄
5Cents
For me, best part of JA3 are the absolutely lovely designed maps and the overall apperance of Grand Chien, the wild nature, the slums, villages and cities creating an distinctive kind of special, authentic athmosphere. I love that, with an eye for details, designed world. Whats still hindering me playing JA3 more than one time, are some absolutely questionable basic game-mechanics decisions (new rndbsd sys) imo and there are a lot of rough big mistakes with them, making the game unnecessary worse imo (inventory fe). But with the editor, i'll change one of the worst little detail for me; design choices of weapon-arsenal, (so hopefully i can play it again then, without getting turned off too much 😅). brato
Best: combat. Worst: inventory system. No sorting, merging, can't easily equip-switch 2 items for one two handed gun if inventory is full... 1
brato
Actually, i love all the little stuff they put in there, and the exploration. Like infected, and Charon's boat. Or the Teddy bear guy. Or Schliemann.

I love that, with an eye for details, designed world LOL, yeah, especially the camera freaking out on multi-floor buildings (looking at you, Good Place) 😄 😄 😄 The bugs are the worst. Like mercs not resting and forever tired, miscalculated movement AP, lock-in in combat mode (Good Place again)... The second worst is the lack of AI - enemies and allies are dumb and stand around (again, Good Place being THE. WORST. PLACE.). They are also overpowered so the only reasoable combat style is stealth sniping. Mildly annoying: very often bugged quest triggers, alck of any narrative explanation for events (like morale drops because you went to a certain sector basically). In general, once the game leaves beta it might be fun to play... oh wait...
brato
I don't know, man. I sunk close to hundred hours into this game since release, and I'm having fun. Can't be that bad. And regarding the good place: so they stood around inside with their shotguns. I thought they were trying to be clever and lure me into CQB. Didn't work out well for them. I had a shotgun, too. D13
Lots of great things. Graphics, music, many sectors, humor. Worst: Real-time at beginning of combat. Bullets hitting own cover. Inventory. Pixel hunting for herbs and loot and items. Inconsistent user interface. Yes, lots of small bugs, hardly a day passes where I don't report one. But at least no (or very few) bugs that cause crashes or destroy savegames.

sandman25dcsss
Combat is best for me too. All operations are the worst. I can put 7 modifications on a weapon instantly, but I need 6 hours to repair the same weapon from 99% to 100%. I can heal 40 HP on each of 6 almost dead mercs in real time during a few minutes, but I need 20 hours to heal 10 HP on single merc to go from 90 HP to 100 HP. I can spend 4 days to get max militia and then lose 2 of them and even my own merc despite I have 2 full squads and max militia defending vs 10 legion marauders, autofight is so funny. Yet, some of the bugs are so obvious and annoying, that I think I'm developing sort of a Stockholm syndrome 1
rorshok
Combat can be really fun, despite the worst thing imo being the AI. Most maps you can just hide and snipe one, then snipe the others as they take turns running toward me to see what's going on. I also tried to be clever and flank behind them with Barry, but as soon as combat started, they all bee-lined right to hidden Barry even though my revealed mercs were on the other side. Shaped charge took out all 5 of them though, so I forgave the cheating AI 😄. Overall great game though - hoping mods will keep making it better. MateKiddleton
Best part of the game: The game world, the mercs, the turn based combat, the overall immersion. Â Worst part: The UI/inventory including strategy layer (assigning mercs etc), superhuman perks like lightning reflexes, loss of proper JA style stamina system, janky realtime pre-combat
